Special Purpose Machines

Heat Sink Skiving machine

Skiving is one of the process by which heat sinks are made. These are made from single aluminum or copper slab, as they offer excellent thermal properties. This machine uses blade that cuts material in thin slices and then pushes the skived fin up. Heat sink with different pitches and different sizes can be manufactured by changing blade angle and horizontal slide interval stops.

Drilling head with ATC

This drilling head has capacity to drill a hole from 12mm to 22mm and can go deep up to 50mm. This consists of BT30 spindle with automatic tool loading-unloading facility. While drilling job is held with two side cylinders. This head has additional important feature i.e. 8 station automatic tool changer.

Welding boom carriage

This special purpose machine is used in long pipe making industry. Welding machine is fitted at the end of 15m long boom. Exact positioning of welding machine is achieved by 1m lateral movement of carriage and 300mm vertical movement of boom.

Mandrel insertion machine

This machine is used to insert 1000mm long cylindrical shaft into highly viscous liquid contained in cylindrical vessel. The vessel is filled with viscous liquid and brought to required position with the help of horizontal slide. Forceful insertion of mandrel in viscous liquid is done by vertical slide.

Hydraulic scissor lift

This scissor lift lifts engine of 2.5tons comes from conveyor to machine height. The scissor lift platform is 2500mm X 1000mm and lift is 700mm. It is equipped with powerized roller conveyor to enable to and fro motion of engine.

Checker plate sticking

This special purpose machine is used for sticking FRP checker sheet on platform.

Automation

Cylinder head oiling station

In this machine, the mist oil is spread on cylinder head in sealed compartment with the help of nozzles. Powerised conveyors are used to bring cylinder head in the compartment. To and fro motion of cylinder head with powerised conveyors ensure complete oiling of cylinder head.

Liner pressing machine

This special purpose machine presses the liner into cylinder head hole. Powerised conveyors are used to get cylinder head on to carriage. Cylinder head is firmly located on carriage by jacking down powerised conveyor. Servomotor, ballscrew arrangement ensures exact position of cylinder hole below vertical press.
